SLR announces growth in revenue and profit for 2016

​ SLR has released its financial accounts and annual report for 2016. These show another year of progress for the company with group revenue up 3.5% to £112.6 million and profit (as measured by earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation EBITDA) up 17.5% to £13.3 million.

SLR Success at Red Barns Quarry

SLR has been successful in obtaining planning permission for Ibstock Brick to extend their brick clay quarry at Red Barns, near Wardley, South Tyneside. The expansion in the existing quarry was necessary to underpin the recent investment at Throckley Brickworks which has increased its production rate for the manufacture of bricks.

SLR is now a registered IEMA training centre, which means the company can deliver IEMA certified training courses. SLR intend to offer a selection of short courses to our clients (as in-house courses) and at public venues. Initially, the focus will be on courses in ISO 14001;2015 environmental management systems and auditing, and developing sustainability strategy.

SLR’s design recognised at the Preservation Trust awards

Completed in 2014, SLR designed and planned the landscape setting of the Viridor Energy Recovery Facility at Ardley, Oxfordshire. The facility, which works continuously to transform Oxfordshire’s non-recyclable waste into enough renewable energy to power around 38,000 homes, has now recently been recognised at the annual Oxford Preservation Trust awards.

On Wednesday, 28th September SLR Consulting, Osborne Clarke and No5 Chambers held an autumn presentation and debate at Osborne Clarke Temple Quay offices in Bristol.
