Due to strategic growth in our business across a number of sectors, we have a great opportunity for a Civil Design Draftsperson to join our CAD & GIS team in Brisbane. You will work closely with our Engineering and Transport Planning teams and report to the CAD & GIS Manager on a range of drafting and design tasks. You will also work collaboratively with our engineers and environmental consultants on our range of interesting and multi-discipline projects across the APAC region.

Job Tasks & Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the CAD & GIS Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of concept and detailed design documents,

  • Site layout design,

  • Urban infrastructure horizontal and vertical geometric design,

  • Drainage design (quality and quantity),

  • Vehicle manoeuvring and car parking (including the use of AutoTurn),

  • Preparation of figures for design reports


Person Specification

The preferred candidate will have the following professional skills and professional attributes:

Professional Skills

  • Computer-aided drafting qualification with relevant experience

  • Proficient knowledge and application of Australian Standards and design guidelines

  • High level of written and verbal communication skills

  • Australian working rights

  • Current Driver’s License

  • Diversity in project background experience that can be applied across a range of project types (desirable)

  • Experience in the use of other spatial software packages (desirable)

Personal Attributes

  • Good communicator – written and verbal.

  • Enthusiasm and positive approach to any challenge or development opportunity.

  • Desire to work and learn more across the full marketing spectrum, not just one discipline

  • Likes working in a team, but also can take personal responsibility.
