Job Description

SYNOPSIS:

SLR Consulting is a leading landscape practice, one of the largest in the UK, working singly or as part of a multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy, on an exciting range of projects across the UK. Current portfolio includes residential masterplanning, schools, healthcare, large-scale energy and infrastructure projects, Public Inquiries, land use planning and Environmental Impact Assessment.

Due to an increasing workload, we are looking for talented graduate landscape architects with demonstrable experience post-graduation gained in a consultancy/commercial studio environment to join our friendly landscape team within our busy multi-discipline office in Bristol.

SLR Landscape has 52 staff across the UK and Ireland, with an international profile, and growing fast.

Our Bristol office is an old merchant’s house within walking distance of Clifton Village and the suspension bridge, a Frisbee’s throw from Clifton Downs, and a short walk to the vibrant university quarter.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidates will work on a varied portfolio, including major infrastructure and new settlements; they would work within an accomplished and well-structured team with a commitment to quality and maintaining the highest professional standards.

The successful candidate will provide support to the team in the delivery of a range of project work, including landscape design, landscape planning and Environmental Impact Assessment. You will be expected to effectively and efficiently deliver projects to a high standard within the client brief and budget.

A high standard of drawing, written and verbal communication skills is essential.

ESSENTIAL
• AutoCAD
• Adobe Creative Suite
• Detailed landscape design
• Landscape Master planning
• Landscape planning knowledge

DESIRABLE
• BIM/ Revit capability
• LVIA

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION / MEMBERSHIP

ESSENTIAL
• Degree and postgraduate level qualifications or equivalent, plus experience

DESIRABLE
• Licentiate member/MLI of the Landscape Institute
