HR Advisor, Oxford - Fixed term contract (12 months) , UK
Office Location: Worminghall (nr Aylesbury/Thame/Oxford)
Working Hours: Full Time but part time may be considered, full time hours 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday
Salary: Negotiable, guide £24-26k plus excellent benefits package

SLR is seeking to recruit a HR Advisor to join its busy Oxford office and provide generalist operational support to the team on a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months commencing in March 2017.
Duties and responsibilities will potentially include:
Supporting the Senior Recruitment Advisor in various recruitment projects including liaising with Recruitment Agencies, advertising vacancies, arranging interviews, responding to applicants, maintaining the careers web page and managing junior level recruitment campaigns.
Providing support in updating employment manuals, policies and procedures to ensure the continuous improvement of our HR systems and practices and compliance with legislative requirements.
Conducting exit interviews for all employees who have tendered their resignation and providing feedback where necessary.
Providing advice and assistance on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation to support tender applications.
Assist with company training and development programmes, which include administering the company study assistance scheme and organising courses and materials as required.
Preparation of monthly HR statistical reports relating to headcount, turnover, absenteeism, etc.
Check the payroll data entry on a monthly basis and liaise with the payroll bureau to ensure all salaries are paid correctly and on time.
Co-ordinate the probationary review process by providing support to Line Managers on conducting probationary review meetings.
Responsibility for dealing with various employee relation queries and escalating issues to other team members as appropriate e.g. performance management and disciplinary and grievances.
Technical Skills, Abilities, Experience:
Candidates will be assessed on their documented experience and references and their demonstrated ability to assist with the duties and responsibilities listed above. In this respect the following capabilities will be considered (listed in no particular order):
Employment law knowledge.
Knowledge and experience of interpreting, advising and implementing relevant HR policies and procedures.
Knowledge and experience of best practice in recruitment and selection.
IT literacy / capability.
Ability to produce clear and concise written correspondence.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
Willing to learn, challenge and share experience.
Education, qualifications, memberships:
· CIPD qualified.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work unsupervised and organise/prioritise own workload.
Good team worker.
