Job Description

LR is keen to continue the successful growth of its UK Highways & Transportation Planning team, and is keen to hear from individuals with the potential to help us to achieve this.

We are looking to appoint development planning focussed Highways and Transport specialists throughout the group to complement the existing team both geographically and technically; as well as to play a lead role in continued client and business development with the introduction of new clients and work streams to the group.

We are particularly keen to expand our Highways & Transportation Planning team into both SLR’s Nottingham and Manchester offices. The Nottingham office is located at Aspect Business Park, close to junction 26 of M1, whilst the Manchester office is based in the commercial heart of Salford Quays. Both offices are large multidisciplinary presences with a wealth of complementary technical discipline expertise based within, and would benefit greatly from the addition of a new presence within Highways and Transportation Planning.

Given the responsibility for growth and development both of the team and the business, a key requirement for these opportunities is for professionals who have the proven ability, or the clear potential, for business development and the development and management of teams as the workload grows.

Successful candidates will have a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the growth and development of SLR’s Nottingham office; with support from an extensive and diverse range of technical expertise throughout the group.

The successful individuals will have a key responsibility for both winning/developing new business within Highways and Transportation Planning, as well as playing a lead role in the delivery of these projects. Along with this the position will hold responsibility for the subsequent expansion of the technical team to facilitate the delivery of this new workload as time progresses.

As well as developing work and clients within their own technical discipline, the successful candidate will also have responsibility for the cross-selling of services offered throughout the Group and the project management of work won outside of their own area of expertise.
