We currently have opportunities for a Technical Director in the Land Quality & Remediation team based in our established, strategic, London office.
This position presents an outstanding opportunity to join an established team of contaminated land specialists, risk assessors and hydrogeologists within a truly multinational consultancy and offers significant potential to play a key role in the growth and development of our Land Quality and Remediation team and business in the UK and Europe.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Technical Discipline Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering projects to SLRs existing client base in the region; and will have client contacts and established reputation for developing and managing client relationships particularly in the Transactional Due Diligence, and Industrial or Oil and Gas sectors. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be responsible for the subsequent expansion of the technical team to facilitate the delivery of this new workload as time progresses.
As well as developing work and clients within their own technical discipline, the successful candidate will also work with SLRs business sector leaders and senior colleagues to build client relationships that deliver multi-disciplinary project opportunities for technical teams throughout SLRs business.
We would expect candidates to have demonstrable previous experience working for an engineering or environmental consultancy and have worked on Transactional Due Diligence, Industrial, and Oil and Gas sectors as well as a range of projects in Built Environment and Infrastructure business sectors.
TECHNICAL SKILLS / ABILITIES / EXPERIENCE :
- Recognised professional within the Contaminated Land consulting sector;
- Established work winner within a consulting environment;
- Reporting; analysis, review and project management; and
- Proposal writing
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION / MEMBERSHIP
- Relevant first degree (Geology, Hydrogeology or Geotechnical Engineering)
- Chartered status (CEng, CGeol or CIWEM) (or approaching chartered status)
- Associated Masters degree (Hydrogeology, Contaminated Land or similar)
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES :
- An ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients and contractors. Ability to work in a team and self motivated. Reliable, conscientious and committed.
- IT literacy and proficiency in MS office applications
- Full driving licence
