Expanding our expertise in Hydrogeology

We are delighted to announce that James (Jim) McKinley has joined SLR as Technical Director, Mining Hydrogeology in the Land and Water team.

Jim brings over 18 years of experience as an environmental scientist, hydrogeology, and engineer. Jim’s professional background includes serving as technical lead and/or project manager for mine closure and mine water management projects in North America, South America, Asia, and Australia. Prior to serving in a more general mine water role, Jim focused on hydrogeological support for mining projects, including predictive groundwater modelling, pumping test planning and execution, analysis and evaluation of testing results, and optimization of groundwater management and mining plans.

“With his professional and academic background, coupled with extensive global experience, Jim will inject leadership and growth into the Hydrogeology/Hydrology team. His expertise will enhance and diversify SLR’s offerings within the Land and Water group, bringing a specialized perspective to existing and new clients,” said Kevin Pendreigh, Manager, Canadian Operations.
