Air quality specialist joins SLR's Shrewsbury office
Air quality specialist Gary Wilson has joined environmental firm SLR Consulting as an Associate in its Shrewsbury Office.
Gary has over 8 years’ experience carrying out air quality, dust and odour assessments, including undertaking dispersion modelling for transport, industrial, mining and construction clients.
He previously worked for SKM Enviros and was involved in projects including the DCO application for a new 100 MW biomass power station in Blyth and a large mixed use development in Rossington.
SLR’s Shrewsbury Office Manager, John Matthews, said: “We are very pleased that Gary has joined our growing Shrewsbury team.
“His arrival adds a new technical skill set to the Shrewsbury office and extends our capabilities to clients across the Midlands, North West and North Wales, especially for air quality issues related to various industrial facilities – including power stations and energy from waste plants – as well as proposed housing schemes.”
SLR’s Shrewsbury multi-disciplinary team also encompasses ecologists, archaeologists, traffic and transport consultants, landscape architects, geologists, land quality and waste strategy specialists. Recent projects in the region have included the successful planning application and appeals for Ineos Chlorvinyls’ Energy from Waste facility in Runcorn.
The team has also worked locally with Taylor Wimpey towards obtaining planning permission for the first phase of the Coppenhall development in Crewe.
