SLR’s service offering strengthened through New Zealand acquisition
SLR has announced the acquisition of Environmental Offshore Services Ltd (EOS) on Friday 3 October, a local firm specialising in all components of the offshore oil and gas environmental regulatory regime.
EOS, based in Nelson, was founded by Mr Dan Govier who also brings experienced environmental consultants with significant experience within the marine environment regarding Marine Mammal Impact Assessments for Marine Seismic Surveys, Marine Consent applications for Exploration and Appraisal Drilling, Discharge Management Plans, Ruling Applications, Environmental Impact Assessments and Marine Ecological Surveys.
Our international regulatory and environmental understanding is now backed by a highly competent local team in the north and south islands of New Zealand. SLR has provided offshore environmental services globally for over two decades and with the addition of Mr Govier and his team, SLR Consulting NZ Ltd is positioned to offer its clients a complete lifecycle of services to its clients locally.
New Zealand Operations Manager AJ Millward is “excited to have EOS on board and believes that as a package, the team can navigate clients through the entire regime - from market entry to monitoring and decommissioning services. EOS and SLR are a great match and this move enhances our provision for onshore and offshore EIA expertise in New Zealand.”
As SLR’s new Asia Pacific Technical Discipline Manager of Environmental Marine Services, Mr Govier is “looking forward to accessing the resources of SLR’s global business and being able to provide additional skills and technology to his clients to ensure the highest possible services and advice are continually provided. Ensuring client satisfaction is paramount, and I know EOS and SLR joining forces will take the services provided to all clients to the highest level within New Zealand”.
This announcement follows the recent appointment of Mark Fitzpatrick who is soon to be based out of a new office located in New Plymouth.
