Nigel Leehane, Technical Discipline Manager of the Environmental Management, Permitting and Compliance team, will be participating in BSI’s Sustainability Performance and Reporting Forum in London on 1st December. He will be one of the facilitators, helping elicit views from delegates on the key challenges for organisations aiming to improve their performance.

Werner Petrick (AFR)


Werner is the Sector Leader for Power at the SLR’s African Operations based in Namibia. Following a three year start as a civil engineer, Werner has gained more than 16 years' of experience within a wide range of environmental disciplines. These include: environmental assessments, environmental management and implementation including systems, waste management, environmental compliance and auditing, training, stakeholder engagement and capacity building, mine closure and rehabilitation as well as due diligence He has worked across a number of sectors, including mining, power, industry and infrastructure..

Werner has historically worked for industry before becoming an environmental consultant.

Neihad Al-Khalidy (APAC)


Neihad offers expertise in fluid and thermal technologies ranging from mechanical, chemical, building technology and environmental analysis to the aerodynamic modelling of aircraft and ships. Neihad has 25 years research and consulting experience in ESD and Renewables, Computational Fluid Dynamics, promoting innovative design and solving multiphase industrial problems, Passive Ventilation Design, Building Facades, Condensation and Insulation Assessments, Wind Studies, Building Energy Ratings, Exterior Lighting Impacts, Solar Systems, Reflectivity and Overshadowing.  Neihad’s background combines an extensive academic record plus an international track record in consulting activities ranging across a wide variety of industries.  Neihad has managed many industrial and commercial projects throughout Australia, SE Asia and the Middle East.

Richard Johnson (CA)


Richard Johnson is the Director of the Power Sector in Canada and the Chief Operating Officer of SLR Consulting (Canada) Ltd. Richard has over 24 years’ experience in power generation and transmission consulting and has been client manager for projects ranging from feasibility studies, environmental impact assessment, planning, licensing/permitting, design, contract preparation, procurement and construction management consultation.

Mark Brown (EUR)


Mark has 20 years’ experience within environmental consultancy and regulatory agencies.  His focus is on the co-ordination, delivery and project direction of major infrastructure consenting projects including NSIPs, with a principal focus on the power industry. Mark has led and directed numerous power development consenting and due diligence projects for wind farms, CCGT and biomass power stations, and electricity transmission.

Brian Hoefler (US)


Mr. Hoefler has over 25 years of experience with a range of project management services that support Infrastructure development and expansion. His experience includes multi-media project management, air quality services, NEPA documentation, environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, spill prevention and response, utility planning, noise studies, and siting studies.
