We’re delighted to share the news that SLR has acquired Groundwork Plus; a highly respected and committed team of professionals who work with their clients to create the ‘building blocks of society’.

Groundwork is a 60-person team of specialists who provide geoscience, environmental science, planning and development consultancy services to the essential construction materials, mining, land use development, power generation and waste management sectors across Australia. With offices and laboratories located across Queensland and South Australia, they have a 40-year track record of working with clients across the complete life-cycle of their projects.

The addition of Groundwork will contribute to SLR’s growing approvals and compliance capabilities, in addition to diversifying our client portfolio in the resources sector.

Paul Gardiner, SLR Asia Pacific Managing Director said “The Groundwork teams’ exceptional reputation, focus on technical excellence and long-standing client relationships made them a perfect fit for us. We recognised early on in our discussions how much our purpose of ‘Making Sustainability Happen’ and our One Team culture resonated with them and complimented their own values, which is a priority when looking for partners to join our team”

Tegan Smith, Groundwork Company Director, commented “The Groundwork business is built on a platform of passion for the essential construction materials sector, long term and rewarding client relationships and a growing team of like-minded colleagues who are exceptional at what they do. We are committed to our sector and are excited about the prospect of expanding our client base and project reach, while offering more opportunities for our team both personally and professionally. To become part of a successful, growing and diverse global company means we can now offer our valued clients a wider range of specialised skills, services and locations”

Please visit the Groundwork website for more details on their services, client experience, team and capabilities.
