John Barclay

Biography

John is a Technical Director and has 32 years’ experience both as a practising engineer and latterly as an energy consultant. He is a Chartered Energy Manager and an ESOS Lead Assessor accredited by the Energy Institute.

John now provides energy efficiency, carbon management, net zero and renewables advice to a wide range of clients. He has operated in most sectors such as airports, industrial facilities, education, hotels and office buildings. This breadth of experience gained with both public sector and major blue-chip organisations ensures that clients will receive advice that reflects best practice and uses reliable technologies. His international experience across Europe and the USA also provides an appreciation of international best practice both in terms of technology measures and behaviours which must underpin any successful energy/carbon management programme.

He has been an ESOS Lead Assessor across all three phases and has worked with companies including Weetabix, Millennium Hotels, PUMA UK and Carlsberg.
