Biography
Nansunga is the Water Technical Discipline Manager leading the operational management of the Water Team within SLR Africa. She is focused on managing large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects, leading and mentoring a team of consultants, leading the growth and development of service offering (for new and existing clients). She leads the team within the region in collaboration with other service areas in SLR Africa and with the wider Land and Water competency area in the SLR Group.
She has, managed water supply investigations and groundwater monitoring projects, including development of maps and tender documents as well as contracts, managing contractors, supervising drilling and test pumping as well as reporting on results to offer sound recommendations for managed utilisation of water infrastructure. In this regard, she has worked with various mining, engineering and government ministries as well as industrial clients.
She continues to develop her expertise, within SLR, by becoming part of high-level studies such as environmental impact assessments, integrated water resource management studies, resource vulnerability studies, input into groundwater modelling project as well as stakeholder engagement/liaison in public, mining, infrastructure and renewable energy sectors.
She holds a BSc Degree majoring in geology and chemistry from the University of Namibia, BSC (Hons) Degree in water and environmental science from the University of the Western Cape and She completed a MSc Degree in geology from the University of Namibia awarded in 2015.
