Biography
Ovidija studied at the Manchester School of Architecture and graduated with a Master of Architecture with Distinction in 2021. Working through a variety of scales; from technical detailing of buildings to large-scale masterplanning, her thesis project created a masterplan framework for The Lower Medlock Valley.
She joined SLR’s Manchester studio as an Architectural Assistant in 2022. She has over three years of diverse professional experience; from a range of practices in Manchester and Amsterdam, working on a variety of projects, across sectors and scales within architecture, masterplanning, and urban design. Prior to joining SLR, she worked as an architectural assistant and urban design consultant at the urban design practice URBED, where she worked on large-scale masterplans, innovative energy action plans and facilitated several community engagement events.
At SLR, Ovidija has been working collaboratively on a number of projects, providing support on conceptual design and production of capacity studies, design codes, and development frameworks. She particularly enjoys bringing concepts and ideas from plans and layouts into 3D architectural models and sketches and visualisations, not only communicating ideas in more detail but capturing an impression and essence of a place to engage and inspire.
