Peter Runcie

Biography

Peter is an acoustic specialist based in our Auckland office. He has worked on projects in New Zealand, Australia, the UK, Europe and the Middle East across commercial, residential, healthcare and infrastructure sectors, related to environmental impact assessments (EIA), building services and architectural acoustics. Peter's experience encompasses a wide range of projects from planning applications for single items of plant through to large scale EIAs for mixed use developments; from inception through to completion, commissioning and peer review. Peter has a wealth of experience in undertaking noise measurements and in vibration monitoring of construction / demolition works and underground / over-ground railways. Peter is an effective project manager having managed a wide range of projects across NZ and Australia involving the coordination of input from various team members across numerous offices to provide targeted and timely client advice.

Peter has represented Local Councils (in Auckland, Whangarei and Hokitika) and applicants (in Auckland, Christchurch, and Dunedin) as an expert witness in numerous planning hearings. He has also taken part in Board of Inquiry expert conferencing and mediation sessions.
