Challenge

Full architectural service from inception to completion for the design and delivery of a development of 3 new houses within the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town.

Solution

Works involved conversion, alteration and refurbishment of 2 B-Listed existing mews buildings, plus the erection of a wholly new stand-alone house on an adjacent plot.

Impact

Close working with City of Edinburgh Council planning officers ensured that they supported not only the conversion of the existing buildings but also, crucially, the creation of a new house in a contemporary architectural language, unashamedly of its time, but complementary to its context.
