Challenge
A major energy company engaged SLR to assist in the development of their prevention and contingency plans to meet the State of Alaska’s requirements for their existing and proposed work.
For the client, SLR prepared oil charge prevention and contingency plans (ODPCPs, or contingency plans), oil spill response plans (OSRPs), and facility response plans (FRPs) to meet and exceed the state’s requirements and federal requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation, U.S. Coast Guard, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
SLR has prepared spill prevention control and countermeasures (SPCC) for a variety of petroleum facilities in Alaska, California, Oregon, and Washington.
Solution
SLR focused on specific solutions to address immediate client concerns, starting with highest-need priorities and working through a dedicated task list. The development of the plans involved close coordination with clients; research and communications with field facilities; and close calibration with our clients and multiple SLR technical service specialties.
