Dominik Duschlbauer

Biography

Dominik is a Technical Director based in our Sydney office, with more than 18 years consulting experience and for the last 17 years he has worked exclusively in the field of vibration engineering.

Dominik’s experience includes the use of dynamic Finite Element analysis and the use of analytical models to understand vibration related problems and optimise mitigation measures. Additionally, he is skilled in collecting field measurements, signal processing and interpreting test data. Dominik has a very keen interest in the correlation of test data with models. His skills include the prediction and assessment of construction vibration with respect to human comfort, fatigue and the serviceability of structures.

His area of expertise covers a wide range of industries including mining (iron ore, copper and coal), transport (road, rail) and buildings.As part of his role as the manager of the Structural Dynamics team at SLR, he regularly oversees and participates in vibration complaint investigations.Dominik has provided expert witness evidence to NSW’s Supreme Court and Auckland City Council, NZ.Dominik regularly publishes in academic journals and presents papers at national and international conferences.
