Biography
Helen is based in our Brisbane office and has over 30 years’ experience in the fields of stormwater drainage, water quality analysis and floodplain modelling. Her experience includes the development, calibration and analysis of catchments using a variety of hydrology, hydraulics and water quality software packages including RAFTS, RORB, WBNM, TUFLOW, MIKE, SWMM, HEC-RAS and MUSIC. This experience has been gained throughout Queensland and the Northern Territory.
Helen has particular expertise in the completion of flood studies in urban areas where flow conditions are complicated by the presence of multiple crossings, and the development of best practice water sensitive urban design measures to provide for the successful and integrated management of stormwater runoff. She has prepared numerous catchment wide hydrologic and hydraulic assessments for local government to aid in floodplain management planning.
More recently, Helen has provided expert technical review services for Expert Witness reporting in Planning and Environment Court matters. Helen also has experience in surface water management within mine sites.
