Korene Torney

Biography

Korene is a Senior Scientist and Project Manager with nearly 30 years of experience driving successful contaminated sites projects in BC. Korene combines contaminated sites expertise and project management techniques to deliver projects for private industry, developers, First Nations, and all levels of government (municipal, regional, provincial and federal). Korene has delivered projects through all stages of project design, feasibility, procurement, and implementation including all levels of investigation, data gap analysis, remediation, and risk assessment. Her technical experience spans wide range contaminant sources including septage/wastewater treatment, manufactured gas, military, railyards, fire training, fuelling facilities, wood treatment, metal fabricators, landfills, and rifle ranges.
