Neil Penhall

Biography

Neil has been with the business since 1995 and was Chief Executive of SLR for almost exactly 10 years prior to being appointed Vice Chair of the Group in October 2023. As CEO, Neil led the business through its transformational expansion and development as a global player and market leader in the fast growing sustainability sector. During Neil’s tenure as CEO, the Company took part in two major private equity financial transactions, most recently the transaction with funds managed by the Private Equity Group of Ares Management Corporation.

Neil is a Mining Engineer by training and has worked in the environmental, strategic advisory and sustainability consulting sectors throughout his nearly 37 year career having previously worked for Rust Environmental and Dames & Moore International.
