Scott Bouchard

Biography

Scott is a multi-disciplined engineer with a background in energy, scientific and industrial sectors. His experience covers areas from engineering concept design, feasibility study, FEED, detailed design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning, to in-service technical support and troubleshooting.

Presently working in onshore and offshore power cable system rating for new renewable energy projects.

Scott has acted as lead engineer on several SCADA / controls retrofit projects for numerous large UK oil & gas operators and has carried out detailed compliance work of SIL2 safety systems and authored proof test procedures. His practical on-site and remote fault-finding abilities have been repeatedly utilised to minimise customer down-time due to technical issues, bringing equipment back into service quickly and safely, maximising revenue.

Scott’s experience in process and safety engineering in oil and gas has enabled him to step into green hydrogen energy projects.

Scott’s varied career includes the fields of renewable energy production and storage, industrial gas turbines, NMR spectroscopy and superconducting magnets, laser power and control systems, education, and vintage aviation voluntary work. Through these fields, he has gained a very diverse experience in software, electrical, electronic, process, and mechanical engineering, and built long-lasting customer relationships through trust.
