Residential Development Lot 131 Jandakot Road, Treeby, WA Update (EPBC Ref: 2018/8205)

Perron Developments is proposing to develop Lot 131 Jandakot Road, Treeby for residential purposes. Lot 131 is about 65 ha and 20km south of Perth’s Central Business District in the City of Cockburn local government area. The development will result in the creation of over 400 housing lots that will accommodate a population of over 1,000 people in a location well serviced by existing public infrastructure.
The proposed action has been determined to be a controlled action under the EPBC Act and will be assessed through Preliminary Documentation. The controlling provision under Part 3 of the EPBC Act lists threatened species and communities (sections 18 and 18A). The EPBC-listed species and communities (protected matters) that are impacted by the proposed action includes the following:
- Banksia Woodlands of the Swan Coastal Plain threatened ecological community - (Endangered)
- King Spider-orchid (Caladenia huegelii) – (Endangered)
- Forest Red-tailed Black Cockatoo (Calyptorhynchus banksii naso) - (Vulnerable)
- Carnaby's Black Cockatoo (Calyptorhynchus latirostris) - (Endangered)
