SLR arrives in New Plymouth

SLR Consulting NZ Limited has recently opened an office on the west coast of the North Island of New Zealand in New Plymouth.  The Taranaki region is home to all of the nation’s oil and natural gas production and was an ideal location for SLR to expand since opening its Wellington office earlier this year.

The New Plymouth office will be the third office in New Zealand and the thirteenth in the Asia Pacific Region.  SLR’s New Plymouth Office Manager Mark Fitzpatrick is excited to share Level 2 of Vero House, 10 Devon Street East, with three other professional service companies.

Mark commented that “The new office will allow us to be more responsive to client needs and help us to broaden the range of services we can provide locally, while further developing our marine capabilities for offshore projects.  As we share the premise with three other local businesses who work with similar, or the same clients as SLR, this breadth of service is only going to strengthen as we immerse ourselves in the local business community.”

SLR’s Asia Pacific Oil & Gas Sector Leader Mark Caslin remarked that “The opening of an office in the region was   a logical step for SLR.  We have established a valued client base across New Zealand and we are keen to offer them a wider range of quality environmental services, while also tapping into new networks.”

SLR provides advice on a wide range of strategic and site specific environmental and sustainability issues to public and private sector clients across the energy, waste management, planning and development, infrastructure, manufacturing and mining sectors.  The opening of SLR’s office in New Plymouth follows recent news of the acquisition of Environmental Offshore Services (EOS) in October.

SLR currently employs over 210 staff in the Asia Pacific region.
