Kellye Larsen-Dundon Elected as Oregon Chapter Vice Chair of the Air & Waste Management Association

SLR’s Kellye Larsen-Dundon, Associate Scientist was elected to serve another year as vice chair for the Oregon Chapter of Air & Waste Management Association (AWMA). Kellye has been in this role since 2017 and has also served as chapter secretary from 2013 to 2017. Kellye began her career over 7 years ago and specializes in transportation noise analysis and industrial noise monitoring. She has measured existing noise levels and counted traffic for proposed highway projects in the state of Oregon, as well as analyzing noise mitigation techniques, such as barriers of different heights to optimize noise reduction and cost effectiveness. She specializes in regulatory compliance, permitting, and greenhouse gas emissions.

“As vice chair, I’m excited to contribute my efforts to the association and take purposeful action, as we continue to build and improve environmental knowledge and decisions that benefit society,” said, Larsen-Dundon, who has served as vice chair over the past 2 years.

SLR staff members also participate in various chapters throughout the U.S. AWMA is a nonprofit organization that advances the exchange of ideas, professional development, networking opportunities, education, and outreach.
