SLR Consulting is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew O’Brien as Operations Manager - Environmental Management, Planning and Approvals (EMPA) . Andrew will be based in our Brisbane office, and will be responsible for leading our Asia Pacific Environment and Social Impact Assessment, Transport Advisory and Environmental Management, Permitting and Compliance teams.
Jonathan is the Operations Manager for Environmental Management, Planning and Approvals in the Africa region. He has over 27 years of experience in a wide range of environmental disciplines, including environmental impact assessments, management plans / programmes, auditing & monitoring, construction, environmental control and public consultation.
He has project managed a large number of offshore oil and gas EIA’s for various exploration and production activities. Jonathan also has extensive environmental experience in the infrastructure and waste management sectors.
Rod has 30 years’ experience in undertaking soil surveys, formulating erosion and sediment control plans, conducting land reclamation and revegetation programs, preparing water management plans and assessing environmental impact of industrial developments such as abattoirs, steelworks, alumina refineries / aluminum production plants and intensive agriculture (beef cattle feedlots, dairies, piggeries, poultry) and viticulture.
Rod is a Certified Professional Soil Scientist (CPSS Stage 3) with the Australian Society of Soil Science and a Certified Professional in Erosion & Sediment Control (CPESC) with the International Erosion Control Association (IECA). Having fulfilled the roles of extension officer, regulator, consultant and contractor, Rod is in the unique position of having an intimate knowledge and understanding of soil and water management issues within a variety of industries.
Stephan is a Managing Principal and Mining Sector Lead for
the Canadian Operations. He has provided
engineering and environmental services for over 18 years for mining and other
projects in over 25 countries in North America, South America, Europe, Africa
and Asia. His experience includes work
with prefeasibility and feasibility studies, EPCM, site construction,
Environmental Assessments (EAs), management plans, environmental permitting and
stakeholder consultation, including First Nations and Métis.
Ms. Bartlett has over 25 years of experience as an environmental compliance specialist working with industry at both the individual facility and corporate environmental positions, and as an environmental consultant representing manufacturing companies across North America. As a Principal Engineer, Ms. Bartlett leads a compliance team with specializing in environmental compliance and permitting, auditing, and sustainability.
