Shane Healey, Technical Discipline Manager, BEng (Civil)

Shane has 22 years' experience in the delivery of traffic engineering and transport planning projects, derived from a number of senior consultancy positions across the Asia Pacific region.

He has significant experience in the transport master planning of large scale projects developed through the leadership of strategic and detailed transport studies for retail, residential, commercial, resource and industrial development proposals. Shane’s experience in the transport planning discipline includes corridor studies, master planning, parking assessments, transport infrastructure concept design, management of road safety related projects, and infrastructure charges/contributions plans.

Shane is regularly called upon to provide expert evidence in Queensland Planning and Environment Court and NSW Land & Environment Court appeal matters. Shane also has a thorough understanding of road safety audit and traffic management plan practices and guidelines.

Brett McClurg, Technical Director, BEng (Civil)

Over the course of his professional experience, Brett has been involved in the full range of traffic engineering and transport planning work including traffic modelling, systems planning, signals design, road safety  assessments,  local area  traffic management, traffic operations and development planning and assessment. Brett has specialised in traffic engineering. Brett developed a road safety audit team and is an accredited senior road safety auditor with the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR). He participated on secondment in the taskforce formed to develop Queensland's Railway Level Crossing Safety Guidelines.

Brett has provided extensive traffic engineering and planning input for appeals to the Planning and Environment Court. This has involved detailed analysis and review of development impacts and conditions, and preparation of expert witness reports. Brett has successfully given evidence in many appeals regarding development applications to the Planning and Environment Court, the Land Court and a road crash appeal in the District Court.
