IAIAsa 2023 National Conference

SLR is delighted to be a sponsor and participant in the upcoming IAIAsa 2023 National Conference taking place at Skukuza in the Kruger National Park, South Africa, from the 22nd to the 25th of August.

SLR delivers advice and support on a wide range of strategic and project-specific issues to a diverse and growing base of business, regulatory and government clients.

SLR at the conference:

Humayrah Bassa and Nicholas Arnott will both be representing from the NEC of IAIAsa as Branch Chairs for KZN and Western Cape Branch of IAIAsa respectively. Katherine Wiles is on the Conference Organising Committee and running the Entertainment Portfolio for Conference.

Sue Reuther the Energy Sector Lead for the Africa Group at SLR will be presenting a paper at the conference. She is a registered EAP conducting South African and international ESIAs and ESDDs for 19 years. Sue is passionate about stakeholder engagement, and explores opportunities and challenges associated with ever increasing importance and scrutiny of meaningful engagement with stakeholders, and potential wider implications for EIA as a tool in South Africa.

Michael Van Niekerk will also be giving a Poster Presentation on Breaking Down the Silos in Climate Change Risk Assessment.
