SLR appoints John Kerr as Chair of the Board

SLR has announced today that John Kerr has joined its Board of Directors as Chair. Mr. Kerr brings decades of experience and a proven track record of scaling high-performing businesses in the professional services industry. His appointment continues the evolution of SLR into a leading provider of ESG and sustainability services. With over 2,500 employees across more than 100 offices world-wide, SLR continues to expand through organic growth initiatives underpinned by 10 completed add-on acquisitions over the last two years.

“John is an excellent addition to the SLR Board,” said Stephane Etroy, Partner and Head of European Private Equity in the Ares Private Equity Group. “He brings significant leadership experience that will be an asset the SLR team as the company continues to execute against its strategic growth plans.”

Mr. Kerr joins with over 40 years of experience in the professional services industry. He began his career at Arthur Andersen, where he led EMEA Consulting, before joining Deloitte. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte Consulting, leading the launch and buildout of Deloitte Digital. Mr. Kerr serves on several boards, including as Chair of Kin and Carta plc, a digital transformation consultancy based in London and Chicago. He is also a member of the Board of Plan International (UK), an international development charity, and is on the Ethics Board for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. Mr. Kerr also holds a BA from the University of Strathclyde and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
