Matt Russell

Biography

Matt is a Director based in Cardiff with 30 years’ experience in the highways and transportation industry, working for both public and private sector clients. He provides specialist transportation advice in developing mobility strategies tosupport planning applications on a variety of commercial, retail, educational, health and residential developments.

He has extensive experience in advising developers and housebuilders on promoting strategic sites, outlining applications and getting involved in more detailed Reserved Matters applications for implementation. In the energy sector, Matt provides specialist advice for onshore energy plant projects comprising of wind, solar and battery storage ranging from DCO and DNS projects down to single/twin turbine off grid farms.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree in Civil Engineering and is a member the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) and the National Infrastructure Planning Association. He is also a committee member of the Forum for the Built Environment (FBE) Cambria branch.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and is a keen sportsman with an interest in mountain biking, paddle boarding and swimming.
