Michael Seymour

Biography

Based in our Dunedin office, Michael has 17 years’ experience in legal and property related roles. Michael’s background as a lawyer in commercial and property roles in Australia and New Zealand has provided him with a sound grounding in contract drafting, negotiation and risk identification. Originally from Balclutha, Michael has strong connections to the rural community and prioritises relationships with clients and landowners.

Michael delivers a full range of site acquisition services for our clients, predominantly in the telecommunications, infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. Notably, he has been involved in the nationwide rollout of the Rural Connectivity Group telecommunications network, a national radio communications network, establishing satellite ground station infrastructure for satellite internet services and solar farm acquisition for a major NZ power generator and distributor.

While based in Dunedin, Michael supports clients across New Zealand and has broad knowledge of the unique landscape and environment. He loves getting on site with clients around the country to help assess the site, find the best solution and acquire the appropriate property rights.
