Sharon Wetton

Biography

Sharon Wetton has over 15 years of experience as tailings engineer within the design and resident engineering capacities. She has been involved with the design of tailings storage facilities and heap leach pads with hands on experience as a resident engineer to oversee the construction of a tailings storage facility. Sharon has worked as a project manager overseeing and managing the design of several Tailings Storage Facilities and a Heap Leach Pads including surface water management, water supply, closure and constriction monitoring. The majority of her work has been within the gold and niobium mining sector branching out to the uranium and graphite sectors. In addition to this she has been involved with modelling of tailings dams as well hydrological modelling of water balances and flood lines.
