Location

Challenge

Zuellig Pharma, one of the largest healthcare logistics groups in Asia, has made a commitment to drive sustainability with a clear direction of their goals as a leading company in the industry.

SLR worked with Zuellig Pharma to set an ambitious Science-Based Target (SBT) and develop an emission reduction strategy to meet this target.

Solution

Our team developed a Scope 1, 2 and 3 inventory across 13 markets in Asia. Analysis of Zuellig Pharma's operational footprint was carried out to identify material emission sources and possible reduction pathways.

In addition, modelling of Zuellig Pharma's potential targets was undertaken, using SBT Initiative (SBTi) target methodologies and selecting the most appropriate target pathway. Our team supported the submission of targets to SBTi and the validation process.

Impact

Zuellig Pharma’s proposed Science Based Target was accepted and approved by the SBTi. Our team further supported on capacity building for Zuellig Pharma's sustainability team on emission reduction strategies to meet their target.
