As part of ongoing plans for expansion, SLR is looking to complement its existing UK Air Quality team with the addition of Air Quality specialists at Associate or Principal grade to help lead continued technical and commercial growth of the teams presence in the North West.
The person joining would sit alongside the existing team of experienced professionals in Manchester, with a remit to help lead BD activities wtihin both their own and SLR's existing clients, as well as to lead on delivery of a technical project workload.
The SLR Manchester office is based in the commercial heart of Salford Quays. The office offers a large multidisciplinary presence with a wealth of complementary technical discipline expertise.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an air quality specialist, you will be required to promote the SLR air quality team in the marketplace, help facilitate further growth and play a direct role in the delivery of a diverse range of projects.
The successful candidate will join an exciting and dynamic team, and become involved in all aspects of project delivery from client liaison and task / project management, to report production and business development. This will include detailed dispersion modelling and assessment of transport and industrial air quality, odour assessments, input into EIAs and Environmental Permit applications and ambient air quality and odour monitoring for projects in the UK and abroad.
Person Specification SummaryExperienced Air Quality consultant who can demonstrate both technical and commercial experience in a similar role.Line management experience to lead and further develop a regional team;Technical experience to include dispersion modelling (Aermod/ADMS/ADMS Roads/DRMB), AQ, Dust and Odour AssessmentsConfident in both managing existing client relationships and developing new clients/workloadsExpert witness experience would be an advantage, as would knowledge of HHRAP and GasSimRelevant numerically-based degree and appropriate level of membership of IAQM/IenvSc or equivalent is required
