About the business and role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and experienced Contaminated Land Consultant to join and grow a great business in New South Wales. We are looking for an Associate Consultant with 8+ years’ experience to join our business and we offer the opportunity to develop your career with a strong organisation, with leading expertise and flexible working. With offices in Sydney, Wollongong and Newcastle we are flexible within NSW for the successful candidate to be based.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders across the region. You will also work hand in hand with a Principal Consultant and Technical Discipline Manager on continuing to grow the discipline within NSW across a range of sectors. It will also provide you with the opportunity to further expand your experience within the Land Contamination field and build on your project management and team leadership skills.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Articulate, motivated and reliable. You will have experience in Australia and have a strong aptitude for Business Development and Client Relationships. A self-starter and a leader you will enjoy undertaking project work whilst building and developing client relationships throughout the region. You will also collaborate on projects and initiatives with the national Land Quality & Remediation group and the other teams within our multi-disciplinary business.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications coupled with Environmental Consultancy working experience
  • High level Technical Expertise in contamination management
  • Direct client relationships and stakeholder management
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of the contaminated land industry in NSW as a minimum
  • Proven report writing skills and high computer literacy
  • Collaborative, innovative and flexible approach
  • Dynamic and creative working style
  • Good sense of humour and a proactive attitude
