THE ROLES:

APAC Leader - Waste and Resources Management Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane

Leading our Asia Pacific team of Waste and Resources Management specialists, your role is to lead the activities of this team to ensure successful project delivery, client satisfaction, sustainable business performance and highly engaged staff. You will also get your hands dirty working directly with clients on driving world leading solutions to a vast array of waste related projects. Collaboration is a key principle within SLR, and you will nurture and optimise the excellent multi-discipline relationships across our global business.

Associate Waste Consultants/Landfill Engineers Sydney and Auckland, New Zealand

With a national reputation for achieving results within the waste and resources management sector, you will be able to effectively lead, facilitate and co-ordinate projects in the sector. As an Associate Consultant you will be required to apply a high level of commitment to our clients and provide operational support to other members of the team by drawing on both your own experience and developing and using the skills and experience of other team members both in the Asia Pacific region and internationally. You will work with other waste team members and other multi-discipline teams at SLR, supervise junior staff and be involved in business development and delivery of key projects.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidates will have:

= A professional qualification in waste management and/or environmental management or engineering or other relevant degree;

= A minimum of five years’ experience at a professional level in strategic waste management, ideally as a consultant;

= Proven capability in managing waste management projects and coordinating inputs from others;

= The ability to analyse and interpret situations and problems, and develop appropriate solutions;

= Good communication skills and experience writing reports and liaising confidently with clients;

= A high level of commercial acumen and proven success in developing winning proposals;

= A demonstrated working knowledge of current statutory requirements, procurement processes, contract standards and corporate procedures; and

= Appropriate registrations with relevant professional institutions (desirable).
