The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and experienced Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Consultant to join and help grow a great business. We are looking for a principal consultant, ideally with quarrying experience, to join our business and we offer the opportunity to develop your career with a strong organisation, with leading expertise and flexible working.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders across the region. You will also work on continuing to grow the discipline within Australia and New Zealand across a range of sectors. It will also provide you with the opportunity to further expand your experience within the ESIA field and build on your project management and team leadership skills.

Articulate, motivated and reliable. You will have a minimum of 10 years consulting experience and have a strong aptitude for Business Development and Client Relationships. A self-starter and proven team leader, you will enjoy undertaking project work whilst building and developing client relationships throughout the region. You will also collaborate on projects and initiatives with the national ESIA Group and the other teams within our multi-disciplinary business.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (Masters desirable) and

  • High level Technical Expertise in Impact Assessments, particularly in the extractive industries

  • Team building experience

  • Direct client relationships

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong understanding of the extractives industry

  • Proven report writing skills and high computer literacy

  • Collaborative, innovative and flexible approach

  • Dynamic and creative management style

  • Good sense of humour
