SLR has a great opportunity within the Sydney office for an ambitious individual to join our high performing and friendly Acoustics & Vibration team. This is a fixed term (12 months) part time position where you will be working within a team to deliver a specific project. This opportunity will provide you with an understanding of the day to day requirements of working within a specialized consultancy as you will be surrounded by one of the larger Acoustic specific teams in the country. You will also be joining our team in a brand new office location in North Sydney for 2020 which is an exciting change to kick the year off!
JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
As part of a growing team in SLR, you will be responsible for carrying out weekly site visits within the Sydney Metro region and undertaking property inspections to determine appropriate acoustic treatments. You will be supported by senior engineers to develop detailed knowledge and understanding of the project, community engagement and gain experience in acoustic mitigation solutions . With a great attitude and collaborative approach, you will enjoy working with others in the business and sharing success.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
At a minimum, successful candidates must have:
Strong communication and collaboration skills, and fluency in written and spoken English;
Demonstrated initiative and capability to work independently as well as working well within a team environment
Experience in building construction or similar would be advantageous in your application
