Mining & Minerals
Our main objective was to implement an exploration programme that resulted in the discovery of the Lisheen zinc-lead-silver deposit (22.2Mt @ 11.5% Zn, 2% Pb, 26 g/t Ag) the largest discovery in the Irish ore field for several years.
- Geological mapping, geochemical and basinal studies
- Geophysical surveys: IP, VLF, TEM, ground magnetics, gravity, airborne magnetics and interpretation
Once the Lisheen Zn-PB deposit had been confirmed, the SLR team provided further specialist services: Ore reserve drilling, environmental baseline data, topographic surveying, establishment of computer database and reserve system;
- Staff training and safety & environmental management
- Creation of digital database and GIS Licence administration, liaison with public authorities, government departments and JV partners
SLR has helped prepare the multi-disciplinary planning submission and reproduced all the maps, sections, plans and photographs.
