Strengthening our Oil & Gas Advisory team in Europe

Earlier this year, SLR was delighted to welcome Hashim Al-Adnani to our European Oil & Gas Advisory team as a Principal Petroleum Engineer. He is based in London (UK) with responsibilities for SLR’s technical service offering in the upstream oil and gas sector.

Hashim is a Petroleum Engineer with 24 years of industry experience, gained working for International Operators and consultancies in the UK, North Africa and the Middle East. He is an experienced project manager with proven experience in leading multidisciplinary subsurface teams of geophysicists, geologists, petrophysicists and reservoir/petroleum engineers to plan and execute oil & gas developments.

Ewan Whyte, Technical Discipline Manager for SLR’s Oil & Gas Advisory team in Europe, said “I’m pleased to have Hashim join us as we look to expand our capabilities at this exciting time of transition for the sector. As well as the specialist operational experience necessary for working with clients on oilfield development, logistics, procurement, utilities, waste management and permitting, Hashim also brought with him a full appreciation of the cultural, operational and security issues of the planning and management of complex projects that may face many of our clients in countries where SLR would like to grow new business.”

Commenting on his appointment, Hashim said “I have enjoyed my first few months with SLR working on challenging projects in West Africa.
