Ellen Miller

Biography

Ellen is a Senior Ecologist based in SLR's Sheffield office, and joined SLR in October 2021.

Ellen has experience of conducting a range of habitat and protected species surveys including UK Habitat Classification (UKHab) surveys, Biodiversity Net Gain assessments and protected species surveys.

Ellen is also trained in undertaking River Condition Assessments using MoRPH surveys and has project managed numerous the ecology aspects of numerous large-scale EIA developments for a variety of sectors.

Previously, Ellen has worked for international conservation NGOs and conducted geological and ecological fieldwork in Canada, Antarctica, Indonesia, and Honduras. More recently, Ellen has worked within SLR's Nature and Natural Capital team to deliver numerous projects for corporates, charities and local authorities on biodiversity and business nature-dependencies, with a particular interest in ecosystem restoration.
