Challenge
The former Plymouth City Airport site is being proposed for redevelopment to provide a mixed-use, housing-led development. Sutton Harbour Group appointed us to help with high level Local Plan site promotion and masterplanning support.
Solution
We developed the transport strategy for the site, with an emphasis on placemaking, community and mobility planning through internal and district wide containment of trips and consideration of area wide transport investment with a priority on high quality, well planned cycle and public transport investment.
Impact
We liaised closely with key stakeholders including Highways England and Plymouth City Council to ensure they were aligned to the vision and that proposals not only link to but also help shape the City’s transport strategy. We also represented the client at EIP in Spring 2018.
