Shell is now proposing to amend and renew its ECC in order to expand the approved data acquisition area to a 10 400 square kilometer area of interest, coinciding with its currently authorised drill area of interest. It is also proposing to amend the ECC to include both standard 3D streamer seismic survey technology as well as ocean bottom node (OBN) technology. SLR Environmental Consulting (Namibia) (Pty) Ltd has been appointed to undertake the required ECC Amendment and Renewal process and to compile an ECC Amendment Report.
