Biography

Belinda has 20 years' experience in Sustainability Management Consulting, the past 15 years of which have been based in sub-Saharan Africa, focused on social performance within Sustainable Finance Advisory in emerging markets. Her core expertise includes advising financial institutions including DFIs, Private Equity, Impact Investors, Commercial Banks, and Asset Managers on Social Risk and Performance Management, performing Environmental and Social Due Diligence as part of transactions, and undertaking specialist advisory scopes on key topics including land acquisition, human rights and supply chain risk. She brings strong, practical insights and perspectives from her career in several global sustainability management consulting firms spanning European, African and Asia Pacific markets, into the evolution and application of good practice Social Performance and Impact in Business, Project Finance and Responsible Investing. Belinda has a BA in Social Anthropology from Cambridge University and an MSc in Development Management from London School of Economics.

Belinda has diverse project exposure ranging from assessing ES risks of some of the most complex major capital energy and extractives Projects in sub-Saharan Africa, to advising clients financing renewables and agribusiness projects, to design and delivery of bespoke ESG and Impact Management systems for FIs.
