Joanna graduated from Rzeszow University of Technology, Poland, with a Masters degree in Architecture and Urban Design. During her studies she gained experience in designing buildings of various functions and scales, both as course projects and working for local architecture offices as an intern. After completing her studies in 2014 Joanna was a member of DNA Barcelona Architects, Diagram Architects in London, and DFA in Edinburgh, where she worked as a part of teams designing and delivering high quality private and public buildings.
Joanna has many years of valuable experience in assisting the design and delivery of a wide range of buildings. She settled in Edinburgh in 2015 and has since been an integral part of the SLR architecture team. Joanna assists in all aspects of the design process from initial conceptual assessments and visualisations through to development of building warrants and detailed construction information. Joanna enjoys working on many projects of different scales and stages throughout Scotland and beyond, developing her knowledge of rich local architecture and incorporating contemporary forms within such a traditional context.
She believes that architecture is an integral part of our lives and as such it is being constantly interpreted, appraised and explored. Therefore, it is very important to deliver valuable, quality buildings that will contribute to the area, and improve day-to-day life of people occupying them.
