Kimantha Gokul

Biography

Kimantha is part of the Mining Advisory team at SLR and has over 12 years of experience in the mining industry, predominantly within Africa. Her expertise lies in geological modelling and mineral resource estimation. She has been involved in numerous projects for various commodities including gold; manganese; graphite, PGE’s; copper, coal and diamonds.

Most recently, Kimantha worked as a Senior Resource Geologist for AngloGold Ashanti where her role entailed all aspects of mineral resource estimation for their various mines within Africa, internal reviews, reporting, optimising workflows, and mentoring.

Kimantha is an expert in using Leapfrog Geo for geological modelling and estimation, proficient in using Datamine and Supervisor for estimation; experienced in reporting according to international standards and has been involved in the development and implementation of optimised geological modelling workflows for many sites within Africa.
