Kris Stone

Biography

Kris is a Principal Consultant, based in our Brisbane office. Throughout Kris’ 19 years of work, he has developed extensive traffic engineering, transport planning, and road safety experience. During this period, he has provided his expertise on projects located throughout Australia and the Asia – Pacific region. He has a strong track record across a broad range of disciplines, such as traffic modelling, master planning, infrastructure design, road safety, traffic operations, and development assessment.

Kris has significant active transport design experience including Local and State Government projects that comprised research and new design guidance for separated cycleways and devices, and other on-road facilities.

Kris is an accredited Senior Road Safety Auditor and has partnered with the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) and University of Queensland to complete active travel design and safety research. He continues to assist private sector clients, as well as local, state and federal government authorities. He also, regularly provides expert evidence for Planning & Environment Court, Land Court, and Land & Environment Court (NSW) matters.
