Senior Process Engineer
Europe
Following on from studies in Chemical Engineering and Sustainable Energy, Lewis has four years’ experience in engineering-based consultancy prior to joining SLR in December 2024. He has focused on projects across bioenergy, heat electrification, hydrogen and CCUS technologies. For example, Lewis gained experience in low carbon options appraisal and techno-economic modelling for industrial facilities (e.g. food & drink manufacturing) and campus style estates (e.g. NHS). Furthermore, Lewis is an experienced auditor, having undertaken site inspections (anaerobic digestion, gasification, biomass CHP, heat pumps) to check compliance against funding mechanisms.
Lewis has supported several hydrogen projects during his career. Most notably acting as project manager for a research study investigating decarbonising distilleries using hydrogen.
Other career highlights include sitewide energy and carbon modelling for a redeveloped life science laboratory campus (RIBA Stage 2 & 3) and reviewing LCA calculations for UK BECCS and DACCS projects.
