Goreway Station is a natural gas-fired combined cycle electrical generating facility with a capacity of 874 MW located in Brampton, Ontario. SLR has been involved with this project from its inception and continues to provide environmental services on an ongoing basis. These services include assistance with maintaining regulatory permits and providing expertise with respect to air quality, noise and water. SLR persisted on frequent and open communication, both verbal and written to insure consistent representation of the facility design.

SLR has completed environmental assessment, air quality assessment, noise assessment and water services on behalf of Goreway from 2010 to 2020 including:

  • 2012 – ECA consultation
  • 2012 – Dispersion Modeling
  • 2014 – Turbine Modifications ECA
  • 2015 – Air and Noise Consultation
  • 2015 – Spill Prevention and Contingency Plan
  • 2016 – Present – Ongoing consultation for Air, Noise & Water
  • 2020 – Updating ESDM to new AERMOD models
