SLR announces growth in revenue and profit for 2016

SLR has released its financial accounts and annual report for 2016. These show another year of progress for the company with group revenue up 3.5% to £112.6 million and profit (as measured by earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation EBITDA) up 17.5% to £13.3 million.

Commenting on the year in his Chief Executive’s Review, SLR’s CEO Neil Penhall said “In a year which saw further political change, economic uncertainty and ongoing market volatility, I am pleased to report that SLR delivered ongoing growth in revenue and profitability”
He continued “Our strong ‘one team’ culture and collaborative approach not only helped us deliver an enviable performance, but also enabled us to continue to drive forward various strategic priorities, including health and safety programmes, staff development and system and information sharing initiatives. We believe a focus on strong financial performance combined with the plans to develop continuously and evolve the business results in an organisation that is both progressive and sustainable.”
The 2016 Annual Report is now available on the SLR website here. Together with the financial accounts there are performance summaries for each of SLR’s key market sectors: oil and gas, built environment, mining and minerals, infrastructure, industry and power, plus case studies of client projects including mine closure work for Glencore, water resilience for Coca-Cola Namibia and virtual reality modelling for National Grid.
